Wanted – an Exhibition & Spatial Design Joiner/CNC Operator to join an outstanding multi-service creative communications agency delivering exceptional events and experiences. You will have experience of working within a carpentry manufacturing workshop environment.
As we continue to deliver exceptional virtual and hybrid event experiences for our clients, we are looking for a joiner for our carpentry workshop working alongside our team of spatial designers, project managers, build and carpenters.
You will be an experienced carpenter/joiner and ideally have some practical experience with respect to the construction of temporary structures such as sets, exhibition stands and some modular pieces. You will be technically competent with excellent attention to detail and finishing skills and will be confident using a wide range of tools and equipment found in a well-equipped carpentry workshop.
You will be able to interpret and plan the manufacture of items from technical drawings using your specialist knowledge to ensure the most effective method of construction and share best practice within the team. An excellent working knowledge of CNC Router maintenance and operation is essential. Good numeracy skills are required.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, very well organised, and a team player who can multi-task and work to strict deadlines whilst still delivering great service. You will be required to work flexibly within the team and be available to work during weekends or evenings either at the workshop or on site when there is a business need. You will need to be independently mobile to perform this role.
You will also need to be willing to provide support to the team and participate in the loading and unloading of vehicles as equipment and projects leave and return to the workshop when required. An awareness and knowledge of Health and Safety practices within the workshop is essential.
This opportunity will suit individuals who may have a relevant carpentry/joiner qualification or be qualified through experience within a workshop environment.
