Investing in a local ancient woodland

We are fortunate to have invested in 42 acres of ancient woodland just outside Norwich. Each season brings its own unique beauty to the woods, in spring a carpet of wild garlic and bluebells surround the majestic, mature oaks, in the summer dappled sunlight creates an exquisite backdrop, and as the leaves darken and start to fall autumn has a melancholic feel which gives way to a winter’s stark elegance.

To ensure this glorious environment is properly maintained, we have instigated a comprehensive woodland management plan to remove the dead ash trees that have unfortunately been affected by ash dieback followed by a replanting scheme will then ensure the woodland continues to thrive and grow for future generations.
But the benefits of this woodland extend far beyond conservation. The woods offer a unique opportunity to step away from screens and the daily rush of office life.

Colleagues have shared that access to the woodland has made a real difference to their working day. When they need a break or some fresh perspective, a short walk among the trees helps clear their heads. Many have also noted that being surrounded by nature boosts their creativity and gives them a fresh approach to their work.

The Woodland Trust reports that 1,225 ancient woods are threatened by development and only 2.5% of the UK is covered by ancient woodland.  At Pb, we’re proud to steward this ancient woodland, not only as a commitment to environmental responsibility, but as an investment in the health and happiness of our team.
