435 miles, 4 days, 14,167ft

This August saw the Lap of Anglia cyclists set off on their 435-mile journey around East Anglia. Over four days, up to 50 riders will pedal through three cities and five counties, climbing the equivalent of half the height of Everest as they take on an immense physical challenge to raise vital funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA).

We are incredibly proud to be one of the sponsors of this remarkable event. The Lap of Anglia is not only a demanding test of endurance but also a powerful show of community spirit, with participants coming together to support a service that is a true lifeline for the region. In 2024, with the support of INEOS Automotive and ourselves, the Lap raised an incredible £60,085 for the EAAA.

Last year, our Motion Studio produced a documentary to showcase the positive impact of the Lap of Anglia on both the EAAA and the wider cycling community. The film captured the determination of the riders, the dedication of the volunteers, and the tangible difference the fundraising makes. It can be viewed on the Lap of Anglia website and continues to inspire new supporters to get involved.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance operates two helicopters from bases in Norwich and Cambridge, covering the whole of East Anglia. As the UK’s first 24-hour emergency medical helicopter service, it delivers life-saving care in one of the country’s largest rural regions. With running costs of around £17 million per year — and an average of £3,750 per mission — every pound raised through events like the Lap makes a direct impact.

Since the event began in 2013, the Lap of Anglia has raised over £294,000, showing what can be achieved when communities rally behind such a vital service. We are honoured to be part of this journey once again, standing alongside so many individuals and organisations who believe in the importance of the EAAA. For us, supporting the Lap of Anglia is about more than sponsorship; it is about helping to ensure this essential service can continue to save lives across our region.
